Humped Crab Spider     Brimba tal-Fjuri Mħattba
Further Information:
The most common crab spider in the Maltese Islands, it is often found on flowers lying in wait, ready to ambush insects such as bees, butterflies and flies. The common name derives from the two pointed areas on the abdomen. Males smaller than females. Can be yellow, white or pink.

N.B. the following specimen was placed onto a pink flower by the photographer to better show the features of the spider.
